The new generation Fargo DTC400e is ready to print on a wide variety of card stocks, including the following:

1. Thin Cards - Flexible, light weight 9 mil pvc cards are easy to carry and to mail. Popular for health care facilities, mass transit systems, membership and loyaltiy programs, these cards are easily made on the Fargo printer
2. Technology Cards - Magnetic stripe, proximity cards and contact or contactless smart cards are used for applications such as access control and photo ids.
3. Rewritable Cards - Cards that are used on a short term basis can now be erased and reused. Heat-sensitive cards can be erased and reprinted using the heat from the printer's printhead. No ribbon is necessary to rewrite card on this printer.
4. Holographic Foil Cards - Secure elements can be added to your id card without the need for lamination equipment. Fargo's line of security cards are cost-effective cards to add security to the cards and prevent counterfeiters from duplicating your secure card.

The Fargo 400e has new interface and encoding capabilities. The card printer can be ordered ready for Ethernet so that you can share your card personalization application over your network. You may also choose to add magnetic stripe or smart card encoding to create multi-functional ID cards. You can order your Fargo dtc400e printer ready to go with encoding options, or they can be field-installed whenever the need arises.
