Hi Philip, and thank you for your question. Yes, you can print on RFID cards – assuming they are standard CR80 dimensions, AND that they have an image-grade finish. If you are having any cards pre-printed, and where you are adding your own customized print with the Pebble printer, you will also need to make sure your card provider applies a proper finish coat that specifically allows you to print on them again using a “thermal dye-sublimation” printer. You should ensure that your cards also come from a supplier known to provide high-quality cards. We have seen instances where the least-expensive cards also have manufacturing artifacts, raised edges, or even “dimples” in/around the embedded RFID chips. These all can cause damage or scratches to the print-head, which then results in solid-white lines running the length of the cards you print. Replacement print-heads have a list-price USD 555.00, so be careful about trying to save a few dollars on cards. Feel free to contact us if you have further questions or concerns, or if you just need a good, reliable Evolis dealer. Inside the US & Canada, we’re +1 888.485.4696, and +1 704.535.5200 elsewhere. Thanks again!

Hi good day. we currently have an Evolis Pebble printer here in our office. We use it to print loyalty cards/ IDs for our grocery and department store patrons.
My question is, can we use Evolis Pebble to print on RFID cards?

    Thank you
