Your id card printer contains a small computer program inside the printer called firmware. The program controls different parts of the printer such as the internal sensors, printhead and motherboard.
The firmware program routinely updated by the manufacturer. These updates help to correct bugs and expand the capabilities of the printer. It is best to run the printer using the latest version of the firmware as it guides everything that happens in the printer. Many times a major error in your printer can be solved by ensuring the firmware is updated.
Updating the printer’s firmware is not difficult. First, you will need to go to the technical section of the manufacturer’s website as follows

Select the firmware option for your specific printer model.
Either run the software download or save the file provided and run from the saved file. This will update your firmware.
